Blankets
What are your blankets made of?
My blankets have 2 sides; both made of 100% polyester Minkee fabric. All my personalized baby blankets are handmade and the fabric is purchased from reputable North American suppliers only. In some cases, the colors of my products may vary slightly from those depicted on my website, as a result of small differences in monitors and fabric dye lots. I try my best to select thread colors that match the baby’s sex (if known) and the colors in the fabric selections. My baby blankets are lightweight and are made without any fillings or battings making them versatile for many applications like bundling a baby, cuddling a little one, covering a nursing mother, stroller and car seat covers or liners. They wash better and are very cuddly without batting and make great swaddling blankets.
How do I care for my blanket?
I recommend a warm or cold-water wash on a normal or gentle cycle without bleach. Tumble dry on a low setting.
What can I have embroidered on my blanket?
All my blankets are customized to your specifications. You can have anything you want embroidered on the blanket provided it is not a licensed or copyrighted design. I will work with you to determine if all of your requests will fit in the design hoop. The design hoop is 5"x7" and the entire design including font and graphic must meet this size.
Do you embroider the blanket before it is assembled?
Yes, I embroider one side before the blanket is assembled so the stitching will not show through on the underside and cause any irritation to babies’ skin. I usually choose to do the embroidery on the side of the blanket that will show the best results, which is usually the lightest fabric.
How long does it take to get the blanket customized?
Standard production turn-around time is approximately 3-4 weeks after receipt of payment. This does not include shipping time. I realize that there may be circumstances where you need the blanket for a specific event and I will do everything in my power to have your blanket ready in time. A rush order for an additional $20 can usually be done in 5-7 business days.
Can I see the design before the blanket is made?
Yes, A design proof is sent for approval before I begin the embroidery.
Gift Certificates
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes I absolutely offer gift certificates. Please contact me to purchase a gift certificate.
I can also mail the recipient a Gift Certificate on your behalf. Gift certificates expire within one year of purchase.
Payment
What methods of payment do you accept?
I accept e-mail money transfers via your online banking & Paypal. Please note that I cannot start designing your blanket until I receive payment.
When will my blanket be shipped?
Blankets are shipped immediately after they are completed and within 2-3 weeks of ordering. Please contact me for current shipping rates and expected timelines. Local pick-up is free and I am located in the SE community of Cranston.
I am buying the blanket as a gift. Can you ship it to the baby?
Yes, just make sure to include the shipping address and phone number for the baby (or the parents) who will receive your gift when checking out. I will include a gift card with any message you would like. Each blanket is tied with organza ribbon and wrapped in clear cellophane protective wrapping.
Are your products returnable?
As the blanket has been personalized, I am unable to accept returns. In the unlikely event that Sun 7 Designs makes an error when putting a name on a blanket I will take full responsibility for fixing the error in a timely fashion. Please contact me if you have any questions.
